About the Metro Vancouver Anaphylaxis Group (MVAG)
The Metro Vancouver Anaphylaxis Group is a volunteer parent-run group for individuals and families affected by life-threatening allergies. The group operates throughout the Metro Vancouver/Lower Mainland area of British Columbia.
Our aim is to provide support and foster connections for individuals and families living with life-threatening allergies. To achieve this we share experiences, information and resources as a means to increase our own awareness as well as enhance the knowledge and understanding of the communities in which we live.
Parents of children at risk of anaphylaxis or individuals at risk of anaphylaxis are encouraged to become a member of this exciting group. Membership is free.
Would you like to learn more about anaphylaxis and how to manage a life-threatening allergy at home, work, school and play? Would you like to meet other individuals and parents who face similar challenges and learn from them? Would you like to make a difference by helping to create a society that understands the needs of people with life-threatening allergies and their families? If any of these interest you then your membership in this group can be rewarding. Meetings are held on a monthly basis and all members are encouraged to remain connected either electronically or personally in between official meeting dates.
AffiliationThe Metro Vancouver Anaphylaxis Group is a subscribing member to Anaphylaxis Canada. We believe it is important to support the work of Anaphylaxis Canada to raise awareness and advance the research of life-threatening allergies.
